Bobby Overman

Secretary, Non-profit developer

A native Hoosier, Bobby developed a desire to give back to her community at an early age. Inspired by her Mother’s and Grandmother’s outreach activities in the small town where she grew up, Bobby continued this resolve by joining the Peace Corps and serving in Belize, Central America for three years.

In her job as Nonprofit Central Coordinator and Community Engagement Librarian at the Monroe County Public Library Bobby works with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes. Her work has given her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life in our community. “The best part of my job is meeting individuals with great nonprofit ideas and a passion for finding solutions to the problems facing our community.”

Bobby brings her experience and love of nonprofits to Courage To Change. “I feel fortunate to be part of this organization. We are working to make a change in this community one individual at a time by offering sober living houses for those seeking to live in a safe, secure and sober environment. Courage to Change is a young nonprofit with a passion and commitment to recovery and I am excited to see us grow.”

“I do not understand the mystery of grace-only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.” Anne Lamott
